In 1997, Lennon joined the New York-based Japanese couple Cibo Matto, which incorporated his live-in sweetheart, Yuka Honda, for their EP Super Unwind. Honda created Lennon’s introduction solo collection, Into the Sun, in 1998. A music video for the track “Home” appreciated broadened airplay on MTV.
