The much-awaited romantic comedy starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead has created quite a buzz even before its release. Movie makers have promised a delightful rollercoaster of love, laughter, and chaos as it is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 21, 2025. The makers recently unveiled the first poster for the movie, and that too has gone viral with its humorous and playful take on a love triangle.
In the poster, Arjun Kapoor is at the center, caught in a tug-of-war between Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh, each holding one of his arms. The visual hints at the comic struggle and rivalry between the two actresses, indicating the central theme of the movie — a love triangle. This playful struggle in the poster perfectly mirrors the fun, quirky tone that the film is set to deliver.
Arjun Kapoor posted the poster on his Instagram with his typical sense of humour: “Khencho… Aur khencho!!! Sharafat ki yehi saza toh hoti hai… Kalesh ho ya clash, phassta toh mujh jaisa aam aadmi hai #MereHusbandKiBiwi In Cinemas 21st February, 2025.” The more he teased people through this, the more interested fans became to know about his new movie and the poster gained popularity instantly. The comments were flooded with excitement as a fan exclaimed, “Hit hai bhaii,” and another said, “Fantastic.”
Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh too shared the poster, but this time with a twist of fun. Bhumi cropped Rakul’s photo from the poster and scratched her name out. She captioned it, “Kalesh!!! “These are playful posts which have only increased the excitement in the fans. The promotional strategy of the film has tapped into their competitive and humorous energy. However, nothing was smooth-sailing for the film’s production. While shooting a song at Imperial Palace, Royal Palms in Mumbai, the crew suffered a mishap when the ceiling of the set collapsed. Producer Jackky Bhagnani, Arjun Kapoor, and the filmmaker Mudassir Aziz sustained minor injuries, but thank God, no one suffered serious injury. The accident was caused by the vibrations of the sound in the old hall, which was rumbling the roof, creating a squash on it that fell.
Production resumed and the cast and crew were very tough with whatever happened to them.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in Singham Again, which is an adaptation of the mythological epic Ramayana. Rakul Preet Singh will be seen next in De De Pyaar De 2, which Anshul Sharma will be directing. Bhumi Pednekar will be coming as a web series actress in Daldal, for which she will be essaying the role of a police officer. The show has already been shot and will release on Prime Video next year.
