The attacker repeatedly stabbed the 54-year-old actor inside his 12th-floor home. Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital in an auto rickshaw by his staff. There, he underwent emergency surgery. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, chief operating officer of the hospital, said Saif received six injuries and two deep wounds. A knife was lodged near his spine and was removed after surgery. The actor is now stable and out of danger.
